Fullmetal Alchemist, Volume 14 / Rough Sketch Gallery / scannage

You know about the extra booklet that comes with volume 14, right? The one with the collection of rough sketches? [btw, it doesn't come with all of them - some have them, some don't. The editions that include the booklet- they are shrinkwrapped together - have a gold FMA logo; the ones without are silver. <--that's for the benefit of those who, like me, might end up standing in the middle of Kinokuniya going, "hey man, wtf? where's that little booklet thingy!?" But I figgered it out. Yup.]

Aaaaaaanyway...! I scanned it up this morning - all of it. I left the files HUGE so that you can see all the tiny details that Arakawa-sensei includes in her wee sketches. And she comments on every one of them, too - the files are big enough that the kanji is clear. *cough cough*

Again, it's not the best scanning work ever, but, well, there you go.

There are 36 files in the zip - front and back covers, plus all of the contents. Enjoy!! ^_^

Yes, Van! Wasn't there a gameshow host called "Van"? hmmmm...

However... you will also see that Alphonse's last name is spelled "Elrick" throughout, plus Ranfan is rendered "Ranfun." Ah, katakana is fuuuuuuuuuun, ne? \o/

I was wondering, could all those Xingian characters in the middle could perhaps be part of the manga sometime in the future? Does that mean somebody else besides Ross in going to end up in Xing?

...

Or maybe they're just random people Arakawa drew, like those random animals?

And if "Van" is SUPPOSED to be Hohenheim's first name, I wonder if that's a reference to Van Helsing thrown in as well (I don't know why; that has nothing to do with alchemy!)? Maybe that's a hint as to what he is?

I knew it, he's going to turn out to be a vampire, and probably an alien vampire at that. Why do they ALWAYS turn out to be vampires/demons who are ALIENS in these types of manga!?
